Firebreak and Painting Campaigns for Retiro Facilities

On September 12, 13 and 14, 2022, there was a fire in the Retiro areas and nearby areas.

There were no casualties, nor were any of the Retreat's physical structures damaged. However, the fire came close to the facilities, leaving several green areas burned, as can be seen in the photos and videos.

One of the solutions to prevent the passage or spread of fire in these areas is the preparation of firebreaks. During the weekend, this service was budgeted for the creation of these firebreaks around the retreat area.

So, we are combining two campaigns so that we can keep the structure of the retreat safe and renewed over the years: the campaign to paint the facilities and the campaign for firebreaks in the Retreat .

Maintaining and improving the Retreat’s infrastructure and facilities will allow it to continue to be a place where people can seek God.
